“We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.”
T.S. Eliot, “Four Quartets”
My name is Elizanda de la Sota, an Argentine born, U.S. educated psychologist who blends a dynamic and directive personal style with a thorough understanding of how people change. I use that information to create a therapeutic experience that is enriching, challenging, and focused on solutions.
I believe that successful therapy helps us to integrate the disowned parts of the Self. Only when we can function as an emotionally whole person can we be authentic to self and others. Living authentically makes us feel comfortable in our own skins—I believe that that is what most of us desire.
To that end, I am willing to challenge my clients to push through fears and doubts. I am aware, however, that it is necessary to be supportive during crucial stages of the change process. While I do push, I am also there during the tough part of the journey.
I work primarily with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am also able to offer my services in Spanish. I work hard for my clients and do my best work with people who are committed to making positive changes in their lives. If you believe that this is a good fit with you, please contact me and I will answer any questions you may have. If I cannot help you, I will make every effort to find you the appropriate professional.
